WORK OF ART (personal definition) Text edition, 2021 A text-based edition unfolding a personal definition of art as something unstable, transmissible, and continuously open to alienate.. Printed in black on white paper, the work approaches language as a circulating conceptual form — something that can be carried, partially forgotten, re-read, and continued elsewhere. The DIN A0 format was deliberately chosen in relation to body scale, creating a direct encounter between the reader’s physical presence and the textual field. Its dimensions invite reading not as distant observation but as an embodied act: a movement between proximity, scale, and shifting understanding. Rather than a decorative print, the edition remains as an proposition that can circulate across spaces, contexts, and personal definitions - an thus be alive in a shared in-common. Issued in an edition of 200 and individually stamped, this hand-scale format extends the work’s conceptual idea through movement, exchange, archiving, and personal transmission. While the DIN A0 version creates a direct body-scale encounter with the receiver, the card edition activates the work through portability and social circulation — carried in books, pockets, letters, collections, and other every day contexts. The planetary state of emergency caused by the worldwide spread of the coronavirus does not seem to leave any conceivable area untouched, it quite obviously af- and in_fects the perception of time,

proximity and distance. In the state of emergency of the pandemic, structures and modes of organization from the temporal, spacial, economical, political, public to the private and personal  are relentlessly made visible.

The opacity, which too often brings inequalities and inconveniences to safety, is relentlessly dissolving. An immediacy becomes the present, in which time can be measured through proximity and distance.

How far is close enough for you to tell time?

The good thing is that the matter of time cannot be resolved here  - just to be found out. Like an ecstatic embrace. Waiting takes on a new meaning and starting point for something that we may just be getting to know.
